The Objective: To estimate the correct height of a point relative to its middle on a playground slide in "step" units or steps.
The simplest and the most practical guide would be the steps placed alongside of the slide.
Please remember that our unit in this case is ONE step and our heights are relative to the "middle step" or the "medium height."

Low -2 2 steps lower than the medium height
Lower than medium -1 1 step lower than the medium height
Medium height 0 0: Our starting point
Higher than medium +1 1 step higher than the medium height
High +2 2 steps higher than the medium height
